May 1st is the internacional day of workers. This day is very important because on this same day in 1886, began a strike for finish with working 16-hour day. That day, a lot of anarchists died in EE.UU.
When May 1st started to be celebrated in Spain workers fighted to get democracy, workers' rights, freedom... There were also protests against high prices and they wanted to reduce unemployment
Nowadays this day is a holiday for workers and it is is celebrated in a lot of countries.
